Muchelney pottery is used all over the world, but the pottery is still very much a small family business. The pots are all lovingly hand-thrown, using local clays, and wood-fired in the three-chambered kiln to the high stoneware temperature of 1320°C, which creates their distinctive ‘toasted’ finish. The pottery is made from 100% natural materials, so maintains heat very well.
Each piece is individual.
The Shopkeeper care advice:
- Wash with soap and warm water and dry
- Muchelney pottery contains no lead in the glaze so it’s suitable for the microwave
- Oven & dishwasher proof
